Elsinore Technologies Product Roadmap

During the next few months Elsinore will release new products, upgrades, and updates. In order to help you schedule deployments and plan for new features, we want to provide you with a roadmap of the Elsinore release schedule through the end of Q1 2006.

In mid-December, Elsinore will release IssueNet. IssueNet is Elsinore’s .NET platform for issue management solutions. It will enable the Visual Intercept 4.0 upgrade, and other new products developed by Elsinore and its partners.

In January, Elsinore will release Visual Intercept 3.7.1. This service release will address a set of minor defects and other issues.

In the middle of Q1 2006 Elsinore will release Visual Intercept 4.0. This product will be based on the IssueNet platform and will include: software development workflows and object model, source code control integrations, and a utility to import Visual Intercept 3.x data. This release will also include a new 4.0 version of Visual Intercept Web Relay.

Tech Tip: Using IssueNet Central for Visual Intercept 4.0 Deployment

As Elsinore completes the Visual Intercept 4.0 upgrade, the IssueNet platform on which it is based is being made available as a beta to Visual Intercept customers. The next beta release due in mid-December will include a new deployment tool named IssueNet Central. IssueNet Central is a web site which uses No Touch deployment technology to allow users to launch the rich client interface from a URL without running an installation package.

In addition to making rich client access as simple as opening a web page, No Touch deployment allows upgrades and updates to be deployed from the same URL. As a result, upgrades and updates are immediately available to everyone with no user interaction required. To allow you to take advantage of this feature in the next beta and subsequent releases, this months Tech Tip describes how IssueNet Central works and how to make it available to your users.
