Elsinore Technologies is pleased to announce that the Visual Intercept 3.5 beta is now available for download. Elsinore customers on active support and maintenance are eligible to test and provide feedback on the software prior to its release.
Visual Intercept 3.5 includes significant new functionality as well as numerous user interface and navigation enhancements. This beta release will allow you to test these new features, including:
- Visual SourceSafe integration over the web
- Mass-update capability for Visual Intercept Web
- Spell checking
- Automatic logon
- Additional custom fields and new custom data types
- New standard fields for build numbers, version dates and attached document annotation
- Support for $PROMPT queries in Visual Intercept Web
- Reverse sorting on columns
- Recurse option for the Explorer view
- The ability to clone users and groups
- Precedence value for setting parameter sort orders
- Electronic signature support
- Integration to Rational ClearCase
- Toolbar button for navigating from a document back to a document view
- Notification and prompt to reset session timeout before expiration
- Option to auto update when leaving a page
- Support for [Incident Search] and [Incident Bookmarks] queries in reports page and related document views.
- Visual Intercept Web Relay users can optionally set priority, category, and severity when an incident is created
- New user notification
Elsinore Technologies will provide support for the 3.5 Release Candidate as a retail product. Support from Elsinore Technologies' support engineers is available via a toll call between 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. When you call, you should be at your computer and be prepared to provide the following information:
- The version number and product ID of the Visual Intercept product you are using.
- The type of hardware that you are using, including any network hardware, if applicable.
- The operating system that you are using.
- The exact wording of any messages that appeared on your screen.
- A description of what happened and what you were doing at the time of the incident.
- A description of how you tried to solve the problem.
