ELSINORE TECHNOLOGIES NAMED FINALIST IN THE
MICROSOFT® PROJECT 2002 BUSINESS VALUE CHALLENGE
Enterprise issue management solution, built on the new Microsoft® Project 2002 platform,
claims one of 12 coveted finalist positions in three month long competition

REDMOND, WA – JUNE 25, 2002 – Today, during the Microsoft® Project Partner Technical Briefing held at the Microsoft Campus in Redmond, Washington, Elsinore Technologies was named one of 12 finalists in the Microsoft® Project 2002 Business Value Challenge (BVC).

“Elsinore Technologies should feel extremely proud to have competed for, and won, a finalist position against 40 project management solutions entered to win one of the $50,000 in prizes and awards in the Microsoft Project 2002 Business Value Challenge,” said Chris Capossela, general manager of the Microsoft Project business unit. “The judging panel chose each finalist’s solution for its unique project management offering, market viability, integration of Microsoft Project with other applications, and implementation of the new features in the enterprise product line.”

“We worked hard to deliver a robust and feature-rich solution for the Microsoft Project 2002 BVC, and we are extremely pleased to be recognized as a finalist,” said Daniel Soper, president of Elsinore Technologies. “The Challenge allowed us to learn Microsoft Project Server and Professional intimately. Our enterprise clients will benefit greatly from our early development and knowledge of the new products. And, of course, we’re looking forward to winning the challenge!”

The Microsoft Project 2002 BVC is a program that has assisted participating Microsoft partners in learning and building business solutions using Microsoft Project Server 2002, Microsoft Project Professional 2002, and Microsoft Project Web-Access Server 2002. Partners were required to demonstrate their solutions to a Microsoft judging panel in June. Finalist solutions were chosen and announced during the Microsoft Project Partner Technical Briefing (June 19-21), a three-day event held to further educate partners about the new enterprise product line. Nine winning solutions will be chosen from the 12 finalists. Winning companies will demonstrate their solutions and be awarded prizes totaling $50,000 during Microsoft Fusion 2002 (www.microsoftfusion.com), a partner event held July 12 -15 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Microsoft made the final version of Microsoft Project 2002 available to the public in mid-June. The expanded Microsoft Project 2002 family includes new enterprise functionality and analytical tools. The products offer intuitive project management, accessibility and collaboration, and a powerful project management platform to foster greater productivity and knowledge management with better business results.
