ELSINORE TECHNOLOGIES EXTENDS VISUAL INTERCEPT
SOURCE CODE CONTROL INTEGRATION TO PERFORCE SOFTWARE

Integrated incident management/version control solution streamlines software development process

Research Triangle Park, NC (May 16, 2002) –Perforce Software, Inc., and Elsinore Technologies, Inc., today announced the integration of Perforce Software Configuration Management (SCM) system, which manages the changes developers make while writing and testing software, with Elsinore’s Visual Intercept defect tracking software. By allowing developers to work on source code within the context of the incidents they are trying to fix, the Perforce SCM/Elsinore Visual Intercept integration helps streamline the development process.

“The clean, intuitive integration between Visual Intercept and Perforce SCM allows developers to identify and fix software bugs throughout the development cycle quickly and easily,” said Kent Laux, director of technical marketing of Perforce Software.

“This integration provides our customers with a valuable productivity and quality assurance tool,” said Mark Uland, Chief Technology Officer of Elsinore Technologies. “The ability to attach source code relationships from multiple projects to the same incident, and to maintain error and resolution information throughout the project, enables more rapid development times and yields a more reliable product.”

Visual Intercept is the only enterprise incident management solution designed from the ground up to integrate with Microsoft ® development and productivity tools. Highly scalable and customizable, Visual Intercept allows users to capture, organize, manage, and communicate the incidents that affect software development.
