Elsinore Technologies Introduces Visual Intercept Enterprise Suite 3.0

Enterprise incident management software features enhanced search capabilities, extensive preferences, user-friendly interface for increased productivity across the web.

Research Triangle Park, NC - April 3, 2002 - Elsinore Technologies announces the release of Visual Intercept Enterprise Suite 3.0, the only enterprise incident management solution designed from the ground up to integrate with Microsoft ® development and productivity tools.

"Visual Intercept Enterprise Suite 3.0 offers users the best of both worlds: it's a scalable, easily customizable enterprise productivity solution that provides robust functionality out of the box," said Daniel Soper, President of Elsinore Technologies.

"We needed a defect tracking system with tight integration into all our Microsoft tools, and we needed it yesterday, yet we didn't want to compromise on features or functionality," said Mark Hunter, Manager of Information Technology for MassMutual Settlement Solutions. "We looked at the top five solutions, and Visual Intercept was the best. It's what I would have built."

Designed with the user experience in mind, Visual Intercept Web 3.0, a key component of the Visual Intercept Enterprise Suite, features a wealth of productivity features, including: enhanced search capabilities, Windows®-style menus and toolbars, extensive user preferences, a fully revised and context-sensitive help system, and a completely re-designed interface. Like the desktop-based version of Visual Intercept Enterprise, the web product now incorporates all administrative and incident-to-incident functions.

"Our users have always liked working with Visual Intercept and consider it a crucial productivity tool, but they truly applaud the significant improvements to the user interface, searching and reporting functions, and speed in Visual Intercept Web Enterprise 3.0," said Rob Verboon, Director of IT and Worldwide Customer Support at Relativity, a Fortune 2001 Cool Company.

While nearly all of the powerful features of Visual Intercept can now be found in both the desktop and web versions of the product, investing in a license for the new web-based solution allows users to implement the two versions in tandem. "For one price, our customers receive the functionality of both the desktop and web versions of Visual Intercept Enterprise Suite 3.0," said Mark Uland, CTO and founder of Elsinore Technologies. "This provides greater implementation flexibility and enables users to take advantage of the features that are unique to the desktop client, including Microsoft Visual Studio and Office integration, VBA coding, and mass update functionality."

The enhanced architecture of Visual Intercept Web Enterprise 3.0 incorporates many features that improve web site performance, scalability, reporting, and ease of installation and customization, including:

"
A style sheet-based interface that users can tailor to the layout or naming conventions of their business model. XML rule sets extract data and transform it to the appropriate style sheet;
"
A web application strings dictionary that facilitates globalization and customization;
"
Web-based graphing and reporting that can be exported to pdf and other popular formats;
"
A quick search tool that allows users to find information quickly and easily;
"
User profiles that retain each individual's interface settings and updates, regardless of which terminal a user logs on to;
"
Column sorting that saves time and makes it easy for users to locate similar incidents;
"
Better scalability through a cache directory, allowing large amounts of data to be managed more efficiently;
"
Database result paging that improves application performance and scalability.
"
Visual Intercept Enterprise Suite 3.0 will be available in second quarter, 2002.
