Elsinore Technologies Releases Visual Intercept 3.5.2

Service release adds new functionality to Enterprise issue management platform

Research Triangle Park, NC (November 6, 2003) -- Elsinore Technologies, elsitech.com, maker of the Visual Intercept Enterprise issue management platform, announced today the release of Visual Intercept 3.5.2. The latest version of Visual Intercept, the only enterprise issue management system designed from the ground up to integrate with Microsoft ® development and productivity tools, offers compelling new functionality in addition to routine updates and fixes.

"Visual Intercept 3.5.2 is an important release for Elsinore in that it offers significant new features and enhancements requested by customers over the past several months", said John Lockhart, Elsinore’s Product Manager. "We are proud of the fact that we were able to satisfy customer demand for features like incident cloning, status based e-mail templates, and multi-site support through one physical web directory."

One of the most significant new features offered in Visual Intercept 3.5.2 is template based incident cloning. This feature, developed in response to customer feedback, saves time by allowing users to replicate and relate incidents with one click. This feature allows teams to more effectively track multiple instances of a single issue across products or code branches.

Elsinore is also excited to announce a new enhancement to our notification feature that allows customers to send uniquely formatted notifications based on incident status. This feature allows you to create a number of specially formatted notification templates tailored to display different information to different notification recipients.

Visual Intercept 3.5.2 also offers enhancements designed to make administrating Visual Intercept Web and Web Relay easier. The Multi-site web support feature allows Visual Intercept Web and Web Relay to be supported through a single physical web directory, saving upgrade time, and making it easier to support web site customization over multiple sites. The auto logon feature has been enhanced to allow the Visual Intercept Web administrator to allow or deny users the option to automatically logon to Visual Intercept Web on a per site basis. Finally, administrators may now set Visual Intercept security to limit the list of Visual Intercept users in the RequestID box to only those users with privileges to enter and modify and incidents.

In addition to these capabilities, Visual Intercept 3.5.2 features new productivity features that include mass update capability for the Work Start, Work Stop, Version, and Release fields, and date display options that allow users to configure date formats on a per user basis.
