Research Triangle Park, NC (January 27, 2004) -- Elsinore Technologies, elsitech.com, maker of the Visual Intercept platform, today announced the release of Visual Intercept 3.5.3. This latest release of Visual Intercept, the only Enterprise management system designed from the ground up to integrate with Microsoft ® and productivity tools, resolved a number of issues reported by customers as well as introducing two new feature enhancements.
"Visual Intercept 3.5.3 is an optional service release that was primarily intended to resolve a variety of small issues reported by Visual Intercept customers," Elsinore Product Manager John Lockhart said. "However, in addition to addressing these customer concerns, we were also able to introduce two compelling feature enhancements — a select all capability for our mass update feature in VI Web, and the ability to configure notifications services by DSN as well as IP address. The Visual Intercept 3.5.3 release reflects Elsinore’s continued focus on customer service and rapidly responding to reported customer issues."
The Select All feature, which enhances the mass update feature in Visual Intercept Web, introduced in Visual Intercept 3.5.2, allows customers to update a single page of Visual Intercept incidents with one click, eliminating the need to check individual check boxes. With this enhancement customers can move large groups of incidents through the product life cycle quickly and efficiently.
The Visual Intercept Notification service now allows customers to select the SMTP mail server they will be using for Visual Intercept notifications by DNS name as well as IP address. This feature helps those customers whose SMTP server does not have a static IP address to easily configure Visual Intercept Notification Services.
