Tailoring Visual Intercept to Increase Stakeholder Value in your Organization

User conference attendees were introduced to ways of tailoring Visual Intercept to extend beyond its initial implementation, and thereby increase stakeholder value within their organizations. Elsinore's Professional Services is prepared to show you how Visual Intercept can be extended within your organization. Examples include creating unique views of information and workflows by department, and embedding links to Visual Intercept in your organization's existing applications to help close the loop from defect recognition to solution and minimize your re-work costs.

Analyze Visual Intercept Data Using Databeacon

Elsinore and Databeacon announced the formation of a technology alliance to provide enhanced web reporting and analysis of Visual Intercept data at Elsinore's first annual Users Conference in Raleigh, North Carolina. Following the announcement, Databeacon OEM Sales Manager Rob Hayami was on hand to present an overview of the Databeacon product and its integration to Visual Intercept. Customer feedback was extremely positive, validating the need of many organizations for better analysis of Visual Intercept data.

The new Visual Intercept / Databeacon integration allows organizations to make better decisions about projects and operations. Databeacon's powerful OLAP engine transforms Visual Intercept data into a cube for self-serve graphical analysis. The data cube can then be shared with other Visual Intercept users and analyzed in the way most meaningful to them. The easy-to-use graphical interface gives users the ability to change views and charts in real-time.

When complete, the Visual Intercept Databeacon web reporting and analysis module will be accessible through Visual Intercept Web Enterprise interface as a separately licensed component. Elsinore is now accepting customers for this product's beta program. For more information on the new module or the beta program, please contact John Lockhart at .

Tech Tip: Modifying SourceSafe Check In And Check Out Comments

One of the features of Visual Intercept Web's integration to Visual SourceSafe is the ability to place check in and check out comments in the source file history. However, many users are not aware that these comments can be easily modified to suit your organization. This month's Tech Tip describes how to modify the XML template to customize the comments.
