New Visual Intercept Service Release Now Available

Elsinore Technologies is pleased to announce the availability of the latest service releases for the Visual Intercept product suite. Along with product fixes, there are several new features that reflect Elsinore's ongoing commitment to our customers.

New Visual Intercept features available in this service release

Drag and drop status promotion editor: This intuitive tool allows administrators to quickly create and edit incident workflow rules. In this graphic environment, an existing promotion can be selected and allowed or disallowed for any group. Administrators can create new promotions simply by dragging and dropping new connections between incident status values.

This new editor also gives the entire organization a better understanding of workflow and how the incident lifecycle provides transitions between groups, enhancing collaboration throughout the enterprise. Promotions for all groups are displayed in the editor, while selecting a particular group highlights and color codes each promotion for that particular group within the total incident lifecycle.

“Go to Page” command: This tool allows easier page navigation within large document result sets, saving users valuable time.

User-defined XML e-mail templates: Users can format the content of document e-mails to deliver information in a way that best suits organizational and individual requirements.

Document bookmarks: The bookmarks tool allows users to create a set of personal links to incidents and other Visual Intercept documents, providing the ability to quickly navigate to documents of particular interest without building a search or query.

Outlook task or email incident submission: Simply select the item and click a button to create incidents directly from a task or e-mail item from Outlook 2000 or XP.

Automatic update of percent complete: With a click of a button, the percent complete of a Microsoft Project plan can be updated based on the actual status of the related incident. You may configure your preferences to update either percent complete or the percent of work complete.

Hyperlink from task to incident: Hyperlink generation gives users the ability to create the relationship between an item in Visual Intercept and its counterpart in a Microsoft Project plan created as a URL. This option allows organizations that use Project Web Access in Project 2002 to access the link from the web as well as the desktop.

AccuRev Integration: AccuRev integration allows Visual Intercept users to use the AccuRev source code control system within the context of their incident management database. Users can see source code files relevant to individual incidents, their current state, as well as perform check-ins and check-outs that establish the incident reference in the source file history.
