May 18, 2006 - Elsinore Technologies Releases IssueNet; Intercept 4.0

Research Triangle Park, NC (May, 2006) -- Elsinore Technologies, elsitech.com, developer of the Intercept enterprise solution for managing the planned tasks and issues associated with software development, announced today that it has released Intercept 4.0. This latest version of Intercept is based on Elsinore’s new IssueNet issue management platform. IssueNet is a web services platform for issue management solutions which will enable enhanced versions of Elsinore's existing products as well as new issue management solutions developed by Elsinore, its partners, and its customers.

"This release is particularly exciting because Intercept 4.0 incorporates many enhancements specific to its role in software development while inheriting broad new capabilities from the IssueNet platform from which it was built." said John Lockhart, Intercept Product Manager. "The combination of our expertise developing solutions for software development teams and the capabilities of the IssueNet platform mean that Intercept 4.0 features robust built-in best practices while becoming the most flexible and configurable product of its kind."

One area of Intercept 4.0 that features the most significant enhancements is its workflow automation and ability to model work processes. Intercept 4.0 features a distinct issue and task workflow model designed to support approval processes, concurrent development by multiple team members on individual issues, and the resolution of multiple instances of a single issue type. This new workflow model is combined with a new workflow engine and a design environment that provide a variety of workflow actions and conditions to automate and enforce each aspect of a business process. Intercept 4.0 also features new integrated report design environments, enhanced version control integration, a unique object-oriented environment for data customization, integrated form design, VB .NET scripting, and a new version of Intercept Relay for customers and business users.

"In addition to specific enhancements, the long term significance of IssueNet based products will be the ability for organizations to support a variety of enterprise issue management solutions on a single software platform and have those solutions integrated to other business processes through web services." said Elsinore CTO Mark Uland. "We see Intercept 4.0 as just the first in a long line of horizontal and vertical solutions that will be created by Elsinore, partners, and the Elsinore user community."
