The License Activation Utility is provided to support IssueNet license activation in networks that have limited or no access to the online license activation service. The License Activation Utility will add the licenses and the associated proxies to the correct locations in the IssueNet License Service normally performed by the online activation service.

The manual license activation process follows a simple four step process;

1. Request License Files
2. Import Licenses
3. Activate Licenses
4. Apply Unlock Codes

When you evaluate or purchase an IssueNet solution you will receive unique serial numbers to enable your client applications. Typically you would activate your licenses online but for isolated networks you must activate the licenses manually by . Make sure to include company contact information and serial numbers with the request.

Once Elsinore has processed your license file request you will receive an email with your license and the appropriate proxy files attached in a single zip file. Save the attachment to a known location accessible by the License Activation Utility. Open the License Activation Utility Elsinore.LicenseActivator.exe located in the Program Files\Elsinore Technologies\IssueNet\Assemblies directory.

Click the Import button and select the file attachment sent from Elsinore. This will copy the contents selected to the required locations in the IssueNet License Service structure.

For each license imported select the license and click the Activate button. An Activation Required wizard will be displayed that has two enabled radio buttons that may be selected. Select the Activate by email or phone option and click the Continue button.

The Activation Required wizard will now display a panel with a Machine Key and and fields for an Unlock Code. Select the Copy To Email button at the bottom of this display and send the resulting email to Elsinore Support. Elsinore will generate the correct Unlock Code based on the serial number and your unique Machine Key value.

Click the close window button in the top right of the Activation Required wizard and repeat these steps for each additional license. A Failed Report dialog will display and can be safely ignored. It is informing you that the license has not yet been activated.

Once Elsinore has processed your license unlock code request you will receive an email containing the unlock codes for each license. Open the License Activation Utility Elsinore.LicenseActivator.exe located in the Program Files\Elsinore Technologies\IssueNet\Assemblies directory.

For each license to activate select the license and click the Activate button. An Activation Required wizard will be displayed that has two enabled radio buttons that may be selected. Select the Activate by email or phone option and click the Continue button. Enter the unlock code supplied by Elsinore for the serial number selected then click the Continue button. A confirmation dialog will be displayed indicating the license has been activated.
